The Fort Mill Yellow Jackets fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Nation Ford Falcons on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Falcons 68-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (56), Fort Mill still had to take the loss.

Perhaps the best among them was Nas Berry, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Berry continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. AJ Washington was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Nation Ford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Giles led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Giles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Burnham, who scored 16 points along with five assists.
Fort Mill's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. As for Nation Ford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Mill will square off against Blythewood at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Blythewood will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Nation Ford, they will head out on the road to square off against Clover at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
