Worth County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lyndon Worthy, who threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 35 yards. Kaden Chester was another key player, rushing for 79 yards and two touchdowns.
Irwin County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Worth County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Irwin County will venture away from home to challenge Schley County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Worth County, they will be defending their home-field for the first timethey go up against Dooly County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
