The St. John's Mavericks came tearing into Friday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Fort Worth Christian 62-47.
Sebastian Williams-adams was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Sam Humphries was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
St. John's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Fort Worth Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
St. John's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Francis Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully St. Francis Episcopal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Fort Worth Christian, they will face off against The Woodlands Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Woodlands Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 724 points over their last ten contests.
