The Daniel Lions will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Broome Centurions at 6:00 p.m. Daniel will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Daniel put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 78-29 victory over Crescent on the road. 78 seems to be a good number for Daniel as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Daniel can attribute much of their success to Colleen DiMaio, who scored 18 points along with five steals, and Lila Mann, who scored 22 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DiMaio has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shala Williams, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Broome struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Thursday (Chapman was 23% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Broome took a 47-32 bruising from Chapman.
The losing side was boosted by Anaya Wofford, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Dakota Mitchell, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
Daniel is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Broome, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's matchup: Daniel have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 37.9% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Broome, though, as they've only made 28.9% of their threes this season. Given Daniel's sizable advantage in that area, Broome will need to find a way to close that gap.
