The Arvada West Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Valor Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Arvada West comes in on three and Valor Christian on nine.
On Tuesday, Arvada West was able to grind out a solid victory over Chatfield, taking the game 46-35. Given Arvada West's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Chatfield is ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ralston Valley typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Valor Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 54-47 victory over the Mustangs. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Valor Christian has scored all season.
Arvada West is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Valor Christian, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Arvada West came up short against Valor Christian when the teams last played back in January, falling 63-55. Can Arvada West avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
