Basis got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rowdy McGourin out in front who scored 26 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The game was McGourin's third in a row with at least ten points. Jack Engelthaler was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Basis pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Red Mesa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basis will square off against Bagdad at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Mesa, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Michael at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (St. Michael is ranked 343rd, while Red Mesa is ranked 318th).
