Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Wade Hampton, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-48 loss to the Yellow Jackets. While losing is never fun, Wade Hampton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 12th).
Meanwhile, Laurens was the victim of a tough 64-44 loss at the hands of the Warriors on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Laurens in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Laurens got a solid performance out of Keilaund Singleton, who scored 18 points. Martineze Shaw was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Wade Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Laurens, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
