Cimarron is a perfect 4-0 against Skyline since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bluejays will face off against the Thunderbirds at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Cimarron's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
Cimarron will bounce into Friday's game after beating Scott, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bluejays blew past the Beavers 12-2 on Tuesday. Considering the Bluejays have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Quinn Campbell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Campbell was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Yesenia Garfio and Isabella Cofer did most of the damage at the plate: Garfio went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Cofer went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Cofer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Vath, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Cimarron hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Skyline unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on April 7th. They lost 7-1 to Medicine Lodge. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Thunderbirds have suffered since April 23, 2024.
Skyline saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kory Anschutz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Cimarron pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cimarron has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .542. However, it's not like Skyline struggles in that department as they've averaged .480. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cimarron took their win against Skyline in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Do the Bluejays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
