This season hasn't been kind to the Chamberlain Cubs, who are still winless after their sixth match. They were the victim of a rough 39-18 loss at the hands of Winner on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chamberlain has scored all season.
Aiden Barfuss continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Winner, scoring 16 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Barfuss scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Carter Craven, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Chamberlain's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Winner, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Chamberlain will head out on the road to face off against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Winner is on the road again on Saturday and play against Custer at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Custer knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Winner likes a good challenge.
