With a playoff win on the line, Franklin Central rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Southport Cardinals 59-22. The Flashes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 21 points or more this season.

Franklin Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Duvall out in front who posted 11 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya Doughty, who earned ten points.

Franklin Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Southport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Franklin Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-25 victory against Mooresville on the 8th. Southport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
