St. Mary's can attribute much of their success to Mary Marshall Rankin, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Rankin scored 15 or more points. Helen Newcomb was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Despite the loss, Wake Christian Academy had strong showings from Emma Crissman, who scored 33 points, and Caroline Hall, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds. Crissman scored a full 75% of Wake Christian Academy's points, the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
St. Mary's has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Wake Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
