The Richland Colts can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 55-49 W over Maple Valley. The victory was just what Richland needed coming off of a 63-42 defeat in their prior matchup.
Richland had a senior duo take command as Casyn Syvertsen dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds and Nick Mjoness scored 20 points. Syvertsen is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Wulfekuhle, who scored four points.
Richland's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Maple Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Richland will take on the Bison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay]'s favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Maple Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
