They took down Lake Ridge Academy 60-43. Given Christian Community's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while Lake Ridge Academy is ranked 799th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Christian Community to victory were Nate Miller and Grant Doeringer. Miller scored 20 points, while Doeringer dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The match was Miller's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabe McQueen, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Christian Community pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lake Ridge Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Christian Community won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Reimer Road Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. One thing working in Reimer Road Baptist Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
