Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Laney, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Putnam County. While losing is never fun, Laney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while Putnam County is ranked 31st).
Glenn Hills bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Laney, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Glenn Hills came up short against Laney in their previous matchup back in January, falling 54-50. Can Glenn Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
