On Tuesday, everything went Saginaw's way against Rider as Saginaw made off with a 70-48 win. Given Saginaw's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Rider is ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Northwest was able to grind out a solid victory over Rider on Friday, taking the game 51-39.
