The North Panola Cougars and the Winona Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the North Panola Cougars had to settle for second. North Panola had to suffer through a rough 49-20 loss at the hands of Winona. North Panola's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Winona's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Richardson led the charge by rushing for 97 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 39 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Kam?ron Robinson also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
North Panola's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Winona, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
North Panola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Winona will take on East Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Webster is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
