After a big victory against St. Mary last Saturday, Wallington came back down to earth. On Friday, Wallington were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 16-22 to Emerson. Wallington were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Emerson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss from the last time the teams met up.
The defeat dropped Wallington's record to 1-3. The victory bumped Emerson's record up to 6-0.
Wallington will stay at home next week against Bogota at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'. As for Emerson, they will face off against Park Ridge. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Emerson skips in on six wins and Park Ridge on four.
