In what's become a running theme this season, Whitmire gave their fans yet another huge  win on Friday. They blew past the Thornwell Saints 17-7. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Whitmire.
  Crue Keller made a splash no matter where he played. He  tossed three innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   two  hits. Keller has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. Keller was even better at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-5.
 In other batting news, Whitmire got a  massive  performance out of  Blake Stribble, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, a  triple,  and a  stolen base. Stribble has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.  Chris Mathis was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 On Thornwell's side,  Zach Crowe and  Cameron Bryant did some serious damage despite the final result:  Crowe  scored a  run while going 2-for-3, while  Bryant  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 Whitmire's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Thornwell, they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-13.
 Whitmire will head out on the road to  take on  Calhoun Falls Charter at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Whitmire is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.1  runs per game  this season. Thornwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
