The Devine Warhorses are taking a road trip to face off against the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Devine earned a 6-1 win over Floresville.
Tucker Traylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kenny Cruz was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Natalie Valle also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Devine hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Uvalde was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pleasanton.
Uvalde also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: SIENNA MIRELEZ gave up five runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits. What's more, MIRELEZ gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in February.
On the hitting side, JOCELYN RODRIGUEZ made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Uvalde's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Devine, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Uvalde's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Devine has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Uvalde, though, as they've been averaging only 2.9 strikeouts. Will Devine keep running through batters, or will Uvalde buck the trend?
Devine was able to grind out a solid win over Uvalde in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 7-2. Will Devine repeat their success, or does Uvalde have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
