Fort Benton/Highwood waltzed into their contest Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Box Elder 57-43. Given Fort Benton/Highwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Box Elder is ranked 92nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Box Elder saw an underclassman step up: Martay Rosette scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariel Gopher, who scored nine points.
Fort Benton/Highwood's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Box Elder, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Fort Benton/Highwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Box Elder won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Star on December 16th.
