After a string of five wins, Wylie East's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They fell just short of the Trinity Trojans by a score of  6-4. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in February of 2024.
  Jayleigh Dressler and  Isabella Flores stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Dressler  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, while  Flores  went 2-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. That  home run marked the first that  Dressler  launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gabby Flores, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
Wylie East's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Trinity, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-1.
 Looking ahead, Wylie East will square off against Mansfield at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Trinity has  already played their next  match (against Coppell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
