The Grant Cougars had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Harrisonburg, posting a 80-33 win at home. The win was just what Grant needed coming off of a 72-48 loss in their prior contest.
Harrisonburg's loss on Monday came despite strong showings from Ryan Fuqua and Laine Dupuis. Fuqua scored 15 points along with 3 steals, while Dupuis scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds. The contest was Fuqua's seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Grant's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Harrisonburg, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grant will challenge Jena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrisonburg will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Forest at 5:30 p.m. on December 11th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Forest is ranked 289th, while Harrisonburg is ranked 271st).
