Harvest Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Westminster Christian Warriors by a score of 9-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 on Tuesday.
Ben Mitchell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyle Ziebell, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Harvest Christian Academy is undefeated when Ziebell posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Obed Lopez, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Harvest Christian Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westminster Christian didn't launched any home runs.
The victory got Harvest Christian Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Westminster Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvest Christian Academy will host Yorkville Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Westminster Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Christian Liberty at 4:30 p.m.
