Fans got a thrill when Justin Smith and Marcus Burbank connected against Navajo Pine. The connection was good for 55 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 1 this season.
Zuni lost to St. Johns 58-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Domenic Mahooty ran for 73 yards and caught 1 passes for 13 yards in the loss.
Tohatchi's dynamic duo of Smith and Burbank proved to be unstoppable against the Warriors, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Smith threw for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns and Burbank had 130 yards receiving.
