The Pueblo East Eagles can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Friday. They snuck past Pueblo West with a  48-44 victory. Winning is a bit easier when  you work as a team to  rack up 11 more assists than your opponent, as Pueblo East did.
 Leading Pueblo East to victory were  Jaden Garcia and  Izaiah Trujillo.  Garcia  scored 12 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals, while  Trujillo  scored 24 points along with six  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Trujillo has scored all season.  Maddox Villafon was another key contributor,  scoring six points along with nine  rebounds.
 Pueblo West's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Andrew Trujillo, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 15  rebounds. Trujillo is on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Montgomery, who  scored 15 points along with nine  rebounds.
 Pueblo West  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only four  assists. That's the fewest  assists they've managed all season.
 Pueblo East's victory  ended a three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-11. As for Pueblo West,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pueblo East will  face off against Pueblo Central at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Pueblo Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 295 points over their last five matches. Pueblo West won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Air Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on January 20th. Air Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.4  points per game.
