The Beaumont Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Redlands East Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Redlands East Valley will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Beaumont extended their winning streak to 11 on Tuesday. The Cougars never let Citrus Valley get on the board and left with a 25-0 win. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly 25 points.

It was another big night for Tessa Martinez, who threw for 281 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of her passes, and also rushed for 40 yards. She is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Lillyana Nunez also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.
Beaumont's run defense was locked in: Citrus Valley could only muster 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Doris Arko-Mensah for the heroic effort on defense: she. Beaumont didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.
Beaumont's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kiera Houston.
Meanwhile, Redlands East Valley blew past Yucaipa, posting a 33-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 308th).
Beaumont better keep an eye on Charlotte Cox. She was instrumental in Redlands East Valley's win, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 283 yards on 21 of 30 attempts. What's more, Cox posted two rushing touchdowns, the most she's had over her last five contests. Another player making a difference was Maggie Whittemore, who picked up 58 receiving yards and two scores.
Redlands East Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Sofia Velazquez, Cameron Towns, and Devyn Barbee picked up one apiece.
Beaumont's record is now 15-1. As for Redlands East Valley, their record now sits at 14-5.
Beaumont came up short against Redlands East Valley when the teams last played back in August, falling 6-0. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
