The Orange Panthers will play host again and welcome the Eastern Alamance Eagles, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Orange has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 359 points over their last five matches.
Even though Person scored an imposing 58 points last Friday, Orange still came out on top. Orange secured a 63-58 W over Person.
Orange found their leader in underclassman Coleman Cloer, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Cloer is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Xandrell Pennix was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Eastern Alamance's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Southern Alamance by a score of 67-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Tuesday (62), Eastern Alamance still had to take the loss.
Orange pushed their record up to 7-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Eastern Alamance, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
Everything came up roses for Orange against Eastern Alamance in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 76-38 victory. Will Orange repeat their success, or does Eastern Alamance have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
