The Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets won the last time they faced the Northside Eagles, and things went their way  on Friday too. Thomas County Central took down Northside 53-34. Given Thomas County Central's advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings  (they are ranked 70th, while Northside is ranked 279th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
  Travesha Giddens continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  dropping  a double-double on 24 points and 17  rebounds. She hasn't dropped below nine  rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was  Kirsten Guyton, who  scored seven points along with 11  rebounds.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for Thomas County Central and  bumps their season record up to 18-6. As for Northside, they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-17.
 Thomas County Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest, a  62-24  win vs. Houston County on the 10th. Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
