The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies  will stay at home for another  game and welcome the Washington Township Senators at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Kouts will bounce into Friday's   game after  beating Kankakee Valley, who they hadn't topped in four consecutive meetings. Kouts came out on top against Kankakee Valley by a score of  9-5  on Thursday. That's two games straight that Kouts has won by  exactly four  runs.
 The team  relied heavily on  Landon Garrett, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances.  Cooper Whitaker was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Washington Township beat Wheeler 8-4  on Thursday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Washington Township.
  Aiden Armstrong was  incredible,  scoring two  runs while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gavin Kukler, who  went 1-for-3 with three  stolen bases.
 Kouts has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record  this season. As for Washington Township, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kouts has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.7  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Washington Township struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6.7. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Kouts skirted past Washington Township  6-5 in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Does  Kouts have another victory up their sleeve, or will Washington Township turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
