Aaron Aguilar of El Paso HomeSchool ran for the longest rushing play in TCAL Division II - District 1 (6 Man) this season against Immanuel Christian last week. Aguilar scampered for 69 yards on the play and finished with 152 on the day as his team beat the Warriors.
Johnson County Lions moved up to 112 from 158 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Lions were able to move up by beating Marshall Christian Academy 78-29.
Shadd Cole was a beast in the backfield as Stephenville FAITH bested Trinity Christian.
Esteban Melendez threw for 262 yards and 8 touchdowns.
Melendez put up the best numbers through the air as Rex Hendrick's team bested Immanuel Christian. Melendez's favorite target this week was Aguilar, who caught 4 passes for 72 yards.
Johnson County Lions' Aaron Midkiff and Josh Bernardy led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Midkiff has thrown for 809 yards this season, while Bernardy, a 6-foot-4 receiver, has 19 catches for 545 yards. Cole from Stephenville FAITH leads the league in rushing with 951 yards.
Nick Braun's team's Cole is a mere 49 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 89 carries Cole has accumulated 951 yard this year.
Jimmy Stanford's team took down the Guardians 78-29 last week, the largest margin of any game. Midkiff threw for 215 yards and 3 touchdowns, ran for 68 yards and caught 1 pass for 60 yards during the win.
