The Payette Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 49-13 win over Ontario at home. The win was some much needed relief for Payette as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Payette was led to victory by Sianna Gable and Bella Nunez. Gable scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals, while Nunez scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Marie Auxier, who scored two points.
Payette's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Ontario, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
Payette will square off against Weiser at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ontario will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Payette at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
