The Bishop Hartley Hawks will head out to take on the Westerville North Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Bishop Hartley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bishop Watterson, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hawks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The Hawks have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

04/09/25 vs Fairfield Union | 11 |
Malcolm Gillies was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bishop Hartley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Westerville North made easy work of St. Francis DeSales on Thursday and carried off a 9-3 victory. Considering the Warriors have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Austin Heminger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Heminger was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Emmerson Mason was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Barron Wood also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
The win made it two in a row for Westerville North and bumps their season record up to 7-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Bishop Hartley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Bishop Hartley skirted past Westerville North 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
