Snow Canyon's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Stansbury Stallions 3-2. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Snow Canyon took Stansbury into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-18, 22-25, 15-9.

Tali Tupe paced Snow Canyon's offense, picking up 39 kills. Tupe got some help from Solaya Barker-Winton and her 45 assists. Tupe also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Braylee Chesley, racking up five apiece.

Stansbury's loss came despite strong showings from Savannah Merritt and Mckaslyn Major. Merritt had 22 digs and two aces, while Major had nine digs. Bryn Leigh Jones also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Snow Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Stansbury, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Snow Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Crimson Cliffs on the 2nd. As for Stansbury, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ridgeline on the 2nd.
