Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norwich Free Academy). They took down the Windham Whippets 68-53 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Anden Gonzalez and Malcolm Hunter certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Gonzalez went 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points and seven boards, while Hunter went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points and five rebounds. The game was Hunter's 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Pomo, who posted six points and nine rebounds.
Norwich Free Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Windham, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
