Football Recap: Grand Terrace Wins Going Away Against Perris

Grand Terrace extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-2. They took down the Perris Panthers 21-7. The matchup marked the Titans' most dominant victory of the season so far.

As for Perris, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Perris saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Xavier Cruz threw for 151 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 45 yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Terrace will challenge Rim of the World at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Scots' defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so the Titans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Perris, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. The matchup will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
