Carvers Bay dropped down to 7-23 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Lake View Wild Gators. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wild Gators this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-0 defeat back in April.
Myles Matthews made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles.
As for Lake View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.
On Lake View's side, Bryce King made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. King has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
King wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon King, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another was Chase Price, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.
