Fairview (Boulder, Colo.) kept up a steady attack all game long to upset
Douglas County (Castle Rock, Colo.), 45-17, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on an
Anders Hill touchdown pass to
Cameron Frazier in the first quarter, the Knights were up 24-17 at the half.
Fairview grew its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. FHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Hill to
Steve D'Epagnier.
With the win the Boulder school extended its winning streak to 10 games. Fairview defeated Mountain Vista 42-7 last week.
The Knights came in allowing an average of 20.1 points per game this season. The defense really stepped up, holding the Huskies well below their season average of 31.2 points scored per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Douglas County, which notched a 64-34 victory over Legend in its previous outing.
