After having lost a blowout in their previous game, the Smithtown Christian Knights were happy to have found some success on Friday. They came out on top against Babylon by a score of 51-38. Smithtown Christian pushed the score to 41-18 by the end of the third, a deficit Babylon cut but never quite recovered from.
Despite the defeat, Babylon saw an underclassman step up: Peyton Logue-boyd scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Gengler, who scored six points.
Smithtown Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Babylon, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.
Smithtown Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Babylon will be playing in front of their home fans against Port Jefferson at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Jefferson is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
