Chipley had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.9 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over the Geneva County Bulldogs. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 130th in Florida, while the Bulldogs are ranked 311th in Alabama), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sarayah Hogan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 5-for-7 from long range and dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Sadayah Hogan, who posted ten points and three steals.

Chipley's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Geneva County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Chipley and Wicksburg will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Wicksburg's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Chipley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Geneva County, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
