The Harding Presidents pushed their score all the way to 64 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Immaculate by a score of 66-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (59), Harding still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Harding lost, one person who can't be blamed is Craig Chandler. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Jamaar Wright Jr., who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Harding were working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Harding's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-5. As for Immaculate, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Harding will head out on the road to take on Bridgeport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Immaculate, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kolbe-Cathedral at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kolbe-Cathedral is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
