The Ouachita Parish Lions will be taking part in a tournament against the Claiborne Christian Crusaders  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Ouachita Parish will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.

 Rheagan Montgomery and  Taylor Madison did most of the damage at the plate:  Montgomery  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and four  RBI, while  Madison  went 3-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Madisyn Lenard, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Ouachita Parish  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They are 6-2 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Claiborne Christian, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Friday. They never let Gibsland-Coleman get on the board and left with  a   15-0  victory  on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Crusaders needed considering they were shut out in their previous   matchup.
 Ouachita Parish's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Claiborne Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.
 Ouachita Parish came up short against Claiborne Christian in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024, falling  11-6. Can the Lions avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
