The Alameda Hornets suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Bishop O'Dowd 83-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alameda has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop O'Dowd to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Green, who scored 16 points along with three steals. Chris Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Alameda will look to defend their home court on Friday against Castro Valley at 7:00 p.m. Castro Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 438th, while Alameda is ranked 124th). As for Bishop O'Dowd, they will head out on the road to take on Piedmont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Piedmont sitting on five straight victories and Bishop O'Dowd on four.
