The Great Mills Hornets entered their tilt with the Takoma Academy Tigers with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Great Mills took down Takoma Academy 56-38 on Friday.
A'Naija Bush was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Great Mills' points. Another player making a difference was Telisa Adams, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Great Mills' win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Takoma Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Great Mills will be playing at home against Southern at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Takoma Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Hebrew Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
