While Prout didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Block Island 53-9 on Friday. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 23 points or more this season.

Prout's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Martin, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. With that strong performance, Martin is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Seneca Fielding, who put up eight points along with 11 boards and five assists.

Prout smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Prout has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.4 points. As for Block Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

When Prout and Block Island next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Prout will try to stop Pilgrim's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prout's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Block Island's offense will have their work cut out for them. Similarly, Block Island will try to stop Exeter-West Greenwich's six-game winning streak when the meet at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
