The Knox City Greyhounds put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Valley 60-46. Given Knox City's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked first, while Valley is ranked 37th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Knox City's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 8-1 Westbrook and 7-3 May (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64% over those games). As for Valley, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Knox City will be playing at home against Spur at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Northside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
