Hampton County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hilton Head Island.
Meanwhile, Battery Creek had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Whale Branch by a score of 39-31 on Tuesday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Battery Creek has managed all season.
Hampton County's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4. As for Battery Creek, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
Hampton County came up short against Battery Creek in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, falling 36-30. Can Hampton County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
