Nipmuc Regional has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Sutton Sammies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Nipmuc Regional is ranked 197th, while Sutton is ranked 209th).
Nipmuc Regional fell victim to Blackstone-Millville's stalwart defense on Saturday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell 7-0 to the Chargers.
Meanwhile, Sutton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They managed a 20-14 victory over St. Bernard's Central Catholic.
Landon Dulmaine continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 193 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Dulmaine is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played.
With Nipmuc Regional's defeat and Sutton's victory, both teams now sport identical 4-2 records.
Everything came up roses for Nipmuc Regional against Sutton in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 34-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nipmuc Regional since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
