Sonora will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Ripon in at 5:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Sonora had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were given a punishing 0-49 loss at the hands of Oakdale.
Meanwhile,, Ripon couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 7-34 walloping at Weston Ranch hands. Ripon were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-21.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
