Lower Richland is 8-2 against Dreher since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Last Tuesday, Lower Richland earned a 45-35 victory over Orangeburg-Wilkinson.
Dreher was handed a two-point defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Gilbert on Tuesday. Dreher put the hurt on Gilbert with a sharp 70-49 win. Given Dreher's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Gilbert is ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lower Richland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Dreher, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
Lower Richland came up short against Dreher in their previous matchup back in January, falling 52-43. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dreher's Jordan Barr, who scored 12 points along with six assists and four steals.
