The biggest upset of the week belonged to Morgan City, who took down 108th ranked Morgan City, 32-31. Dustin Creppel threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Assumption was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 4A District 8. The Mustangs beat South Terrebonne 49-20 earlier in the week.
Ellender's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Creppel has thrown for 2184 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, while Jarrod Turner has 37 catches for 578 yards. Ralph Singleton leads the league in rushing with 371 yards.
Vandebilt Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bourgeois, 41-18. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Terriers.
